Dental Program

The St. David’s Dental Program is a collaboration that brings mobile dental clinics to Title I schools and social service agencies in Travis, Williamson and Hays counties. The program brings free dental services to people who otherwise would not have access to care.

With one of the largest fleets of mobile dental clinics in the country, St. David’s Dental Program offers free dental screenings, sealants and acute care to children at Title I elementary schools across six school districts in Central Texas, including AISD, DVISD, HCISD, MISD, PISD and RRISD. Additionally, the program treats adults referred by area clinics and the Health Alliance of Austin Musicians (HAAM). Each of the six vans is equipped with two dental exam rooms, digital x-rays, and computer workstations. The vans are staffed by licensed dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants.

The Dental Program can provide fillings, root canals, extractions, cleanings, and some urgent care. We CANNOT provide dentures, partials, bridges, crowns, braces, periodontal surgery, or wisdom tooth extraction. On occasion, we may be able to connect a child who has serious needs with one of our volunteer dentists. Volunteer dentists are sometimes able to provide more extensive work at their offices.
