Meet our Dentists

What's a dental program without dentists? Our hard working dentists head up a team of dental chairside and site assistants in one of the most unique and challenging of practice settings - mobile dentistry.

Ensy Atarod, DDS - Dr. Atarod received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2005 from Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved back to Austin and has been with St. David’s since April 2007. “I have enjoyed working with a variety of elementary schools throughout Austin and the surrounding regions."

Caesar Collazo, DDS - Dr. Collazo graduated from dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1999. “I have been employed with St. David’s for approximately three years total. I love my job – it is very rewarding. This is a win-win situation for me, my patients, and the community.”

Kara Diemer, DDS - Dr. Diemer graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001, and graduated from dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2005. “I moved to Austin and began working with St. David’s in January 2007. I enjoy working with a diverse population and helping to improve access to care.”

Shailee Gupta, DDS - Dr. Gupta received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and then graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 2002 and has been employed with St. David’s about 14 months. “I have always loved working with kids so I really enjoy St. David’s Dental Program.”

If you are a dentist and want to be a part of our community volunteers, you can:

  • volunteer your dental services in your office by seeing a patient needing treatment beyond the scope of services available on the vans
    or
  • sign up to volunteer on the van, along with your dental assistant.

Please contact Deborah Durham for more information on volunteer opportunities with the Dental Program. Your help is greatly appreciated.
