Check out Dustin's new smile, courtesy of Dr. Albert Tate and his team at Total Smile Management. Here is what Dr. Tate's office had to say about their experience:
"Our office has had the pleasure of working with a mother-son duo that teaches others by example that life is sacred and joyful. We have just completed extensive work on Dustin and it was a memorable experience for all of us: Dustin, his mother, our staff and Dr. Tate.
Dustin's mother is a role model for him, as well as others who have the priviledge of meeting her. Even though she is fighting cancer, her spirit could not be more positive and upbeat. Dustin and his mom share a special bond of love and respect for each other that radiates to others. She has given Dustin a firm, loving foundation that will influence him the rest of his life.
Dustin . . . what a polite young man, with a ready smile . . . and yet all boy. He was referred to our office by the St. David's Dental Program due to the extensive restorative dentistry he needed, including a supernumerary tooth that needed extracting. Multiple surfaces of restorations, stainless steel crowns, and a pulpotomy were completed. We could see Dustin's smile broaden with each dental visit, showing us how grateful he was that his teeth looked and felt great. His mother was happy because the dental work allowed Dustin to concentrate, in and out of school, without feeling the discomfort from severe decay and infection.
Our thanks go to the Dental Program for screening, organizing the children and coordinating the families with the dental office. The experience has been such a positive one that the day we finished Dustin, we called the Dental Program, ready for another opportunity to help another child.
An organized dental program, designed to treat patients who are in need of treatment and deserve pro bono care, is a service dentists can and should provide for our community. Our office receives the gratitude and smiles from those children and their patients who truly need and deserve care. That is a balance sheet that reads Paid in Full!"
