Healthy Aging

St. David’s Foundation is focused on improving access to health-related and health care services for low-income older adults in Central Texas, including support of evidence-based and aging-in-place programs that help people remain in their homes as long as possible. This initiative is focused on increasing community engagement and supporting volunteer agencies that work to protect and improve quality of life for older adults.

St. David's Foundation's Healthy Aging focus area is interested in initiatives that:

  • Ground themselves in programs with proven results or well-evaluated research measures.
  • Support aging adults who desire to remain in their own home or community within a broadly defined community of choice.
  • Improve access to health care and health management programs, such as individualized care plans for those with treatable chronic diseases.
  • Employ a collaborative approach to problem solving in the non-profit, aging community.
