Summer 2010 Health's Angels Support Family Eldercare Fan Drive
Health's Angels volunteers raised $3,100 for the Family Eldercare Fan Drive in June. All funds are used to purchase fans and air conditioners; Health's Angels' contribution alone resulted in more than 200 fans for Central Texans. The fans provide relief for low income older adults, people with disabilities, and families with children who cannot afford air conditioning during the intense summer heat. Health's Angels Chair B.J. Gerstner presented Family Eldercare with the donation live on KGSR.

December 2010 Health's Angels Host Holiday Event for Hospice Austin
On December 8th, nearly 50 Health's Angels volunteers hosted a holiday party for Hospice Austin, held at First Presbyterian Church. Health's Angels welcomed approximately 100 Hospice volunteers and staff, and transformed the room into a festive holiday space, complete with home-baked treats. In addition, Austin Catering donated passed hors d'oeuvres, and musician Steve Weichert serenaded the crowd, who enjoyed mingling and merriment. Health’s Angels coordinator Madeleine Stolowitz said, “Health’s Angels volunteers carved time out of their own busy holiday schedules in order to host this amazing event.
