The St. David’s Foundation grants millions each year to numerous agencies, local safety net clinics, and the St. David’s Dental Program. By funding initiatives in six key areas, St. David’s Foundation can focus on improving the health and health care of all Central Texans for years to come. The Foundation sets goals for each area and seeks proposals from grant partners who can make a significant impact on those being served.
The Foundation’s six focus areas are:
Healthy Aging – Supporting programs that help maintain aging in place for older adults. $3.6 million in 2015
Healthy Futures – Providing funds for educational opportunities in health care research and health careers. $4 million in 2015
Healthy Living – Promoting health and wellness through improved nutrition and physical activity. $2.4 million in 2015
Healthy Minds – Supporting behavioral health programs in schools, health clinics and community non-profits. $15.4 million in 2015
Healthy People – Improving access to health care for low income Central Texans. $25 million in 2015
Healthy Smiles – Offering free dental services to children in six school districts and families at safety net clinics. $7.3 million in 2015
