St. David's Foundation Public Health Corps was established in response to the demand for high-quality care providers at Central Texas safety-net clinics. St. David's Foundation works with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to identify exemplary health care professionals working in safety net clinics and provide them with funds to pay back a portion of their student loan debt.
Through this program, we are able to ease the burden on those who make that decision to help improve the health and health care of our community. There are currently over 60 members of the St. David’s Foundation Public Health Corps that are practicing at over 20 safety net clinics throughout Central Texas.
